Awe inspiring, scenic, raw and breathtakingly beautiful - who hasn't dreamed of an American road trip? It's the stuff you’ve seen in the movies, only better. I don't think you could ever allocate enough time to truly immerse yourself and experience every corner this diverse country has to offer. Collectively, we travelled 6500 miles through 17 states in a giant RV and here I am sitting here writing this and wishing I could go back for more.

Yellowstone National Park is perhaps one of America’s most sought after natural attractions. The park is one of the largest and most vast in the world. This 2,219,789-acre wonderland comprises of lakes, canyons, rivers, hot springs and mountain ranges unlike anything you’ve ever seen. The vast variety of natural wonders and creations within this park truly is astonishing. Driving through this utopian slice of the world really does feel like stepping back in time with active volcanoes and frequently erupting geysers plotting the entirety of the park. There is frequently reason to pull off the track and explore the landscape or spot the passing masses of vehicle sized bison, elk, black bears, and wolves.
Driving into Arches National Park for the first time is an experience you’re not likely to forget. Winding up a steep cliff face you begin to discover a landscape of contrasting colors, landforms and textures that are so dreamlike you almost get lost in them. This red rock wonderland consistently amazes visitors worldwide with its rock formations and desert walking trails. The formations are mesmerizing and walking along the sand paths that are towered by century old stone figures in an overwhelming visual experience I won’t forget.
Zion National Park is an adventurer's dream playground. The park itself encompasses some of the most scenic canyon country in the United States, which sets the perfect backdrop to some of the world’s best hiking, biking, climbing, canyoneering and river canoeing. We completed the Angels Landing walk, which is one of the more challenging but rewarding trails the park has to offer. The steep cliff edges gave way to some of the most breathtaking mountain panoramas I had ever seen.
A roadtrip through foreign lands with all eight of us living, driving, and sleeping together in our temporary RV home was one of the most challenging and rewarding things I have ever done. I’m sorry to be the one to say it but travel is not the ideal picturesque concept that most people portray; things go wrong and plans are discarded. This trip presented me with an amazing opportunity for personal growth, to see the world in a different manner and to build relationships with friends and strangers alike.
